A quote from your June 26, 2008 Blog
Thought this may help us all to remember.
"Life may be unfair, you might be blindsided by misfortune, and you don't always get what you deserve. But with the support of other people you will get through it"
Les keep on plugging along, you are very fortunate to have a woman like Kara and all of your supporters in your life.

Spring is near
Les and Kara, another evening thinking....and you always come into my and Samantha's prayers. She is now running around the house in her "tutu"now -- and helping mama put daddy's shoes on. Tears and love flow -- your strength allows many of us to realize the beauty of living. And Les you are so right when you say its all between the ears. Stay focused, stay positive, stay loving -- rewards come in many ways.
Much love.

Prayers
Les and family. It's been a while since I have written but often visit your website and read the latest news. I am so happy to hear that you are getting better and better little by little every day. It is a great honor to be able to have the chance to help and look forward to seeing your recovery progress. I am so proud of you and how far you have come. You are definately a strong person and fearless. I know recovery cannot be easy at all, but your positive attitude is definately a key factor in the progress of your recovery. My thoughts and prayers are always with you and your family and I love looking up in the game and seeing you there. Keep up the good work and cannot wait to buy a new t-shirt and hat when it becomes available.

Just a note
Les,
I am so proud of you and all the work you have done to get yourself to where you are. I have spent over ten years working with E.M.S. and went to work with my mom (who worked @ Craig) as child, I have seen too many stories that have not turned out well because the person gave up. It means alot to see someone who has the will to keep fighting. God bless you and Kara. Please keep up the updates. I look forward to hearing about all the progress that you have made. Both my mom Sandy and I love to listen to you on the radio as well. May this New year bring you all that you need and more.

Hi Les
Hi Les, just wanted to send you an email to let you know that I'm thinking of you and wanted to tell you that you are a very encouraging person! Keep up the great therapy sessions, as you know they all help and pay off! I am happy to hear that you are engaged, Ashley told me that!! She was so happy to hear that too!! Wow! Kara sounds like a great person Les! Congratulations! Its also great to hear that you are coaching hockey to young kids! I know thats something that you would be so good at! Ashley and Amber also told me that they both want to come down there to see you at the same time, and I hope that they can do that this summer. Anyways, I wish you and Kara a Happy New Year and all the best to you both in 2010! Keep up the great work Les you truly are an inspiration to us all! Take care, Sandra Matier

Happy Holidays
As we celebrated our holidays, we had so much that filled our hearts with joy yet more tears of hope and strength. We think of you guys so often, how you are managing, that you are both being supported in every way you need, and pray that we all continue to keep moving forward to tomorrow. I read your entries and my heart swells, my breath gets short, and I feel sad and PROUD that you both have been incredible and such good role models for all who meet you. I remember our PT telling us, "In one year you will be living a new normal." I thought she was crazy. How could this be normal. Yet its a new normal now, isn't it? And that gives me strength and happiness to look back and be proud with how far we have come. How far YOU GUYS have come. Les -- I watch Chad's struggles and my heart feels so heavy some days but his energy and smile, his touch, grounds me. I read your posts and "see" your struggles and when I feel my breath taken from me -- I hope its going to you -- to put the wind in your sail. To keep you going. You and Kara give us strength. Just from reading what beautiful people you are. Happy Holidays.
Much love. The Tesmers
Miss Samantha got a Radio Flyer pony for Xmas -- remember those things (??) I laugh when I think of the craziness I had when I was a kid on those things. Its the little things. Keep finding them.

Congratulations Kara
It has been a while since we have written on the web page, but today - Saturday - December 12, 2009 is a significant date which we want to recognize.
Kara officially graduates from college today with her degree in Education. She has earned this under all the stress and challenges of helping Les along his transition route to recovery.
This is great accomplishment under normal conditions - this is a huge achievement when you can organize and provide the physical and emotional care for Les and still nail all the requirements the school requires.
We wanted all Les's family of supporters to know what we know is going on behind the cheerful and positive updates and how amazing Kara is to get everything done.
Thanks Kara - you are a special lady.

new T shirts and hats
We saw that there were new t-shirts and hats for Team Borsheim, but haven't seen where we can get some. I think the ones on this site are the white ones that were made last year. We still wear those, but would love some new ones and hats, and to offer support to the fundraising, as we're sure the bills keep rolling in.
Your update was greatly appreciated. We hope things are going well, and that the progress keeps coming.
Take Care, both of you,
The Stewarts
