New Year Message from Les!

Happy new year and hope u all had a great Christmas holiday

My new year has started off great.  My midget hockey team I m coaching won there first game of the season giving me my first head coaching victory of my career.  The boys played awesome and followed it up with another win the next day.  Next the championship!!!

Therapy has been fantastic, we acquired new equipment with the money we raised in the fundraiser SCI had. This means new exercises, which hopefully will lead to more movement! Therapy was closed for three weeks for the holidays and made me realize even more how much I am benefiting from it. My body was starting to hate me, increased spasms, increased nerve pain, less movement, which led to more pain in my muscles. Without the Team Borsheim golf tournament and t-shirt sales I would not be able to pay for therapy. Therapy is awesome but its not cheap and insurance does not cover any of it, so thank you again from the bottom of my heart to everyone who has helped in any way.
 
I have also been doing color for the Colorado Eagles. Tune into 107.9 The Bear between the 2nd and 3rd periods for Borsh's Breakdown. I have really enjoyed doing color on the radio and I hope to do a lot more of it.
 
Thanks to Santa and a new touch phone, this is the first I've physically done on my own! The only problem is my fingers are too fat and big for the buttons on the screen. This took me a good hour and a half to write this update.
 
One thing I've learned through this whole ordeal is how much of life is a mental fight. It's all between your ears. Being mentally strong is more important than being physically strong. Live everyday with un-yielded passion and no regrets because you dont know how good you've got it until its gone. I still have to remind myself of that because my accident could have left me a lot worse off and I'm lucky to be here to share this with you.
